The Grand Rapids Calvinist Cadet Council (GR Cadet Council) is one of many councils of the Calvinist Cadet Corps. We are an independent (non-denominational) youth ministry organization whose purpose is to provide the local church with a ministry program that will enable them to effectively share Christ's love with boys from their church and community. The GR Council is mainly on the Southeast side of Grand Rapids.
GOAL of Cadets is baced on: Luke 2:52 states that "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." The goal of the Calvinist Cadet Corps, is to help boys to grow more Christ like in all areas of life (devotional, mental, physical, and social) by providing Christian men with a uniquely designed structure, program, and materials so that they can mentor boys effectively.

The Grand Rapids Calvinist Cadet Council Inc. is a non-profit (501c3) organization established in 1952 for the purpose of promoting Cadeting in our individual Clubs. The Grand Rapids Council is founded on the Word of God; the Reformed principles as expressed in the three forms of Unity and their application in Church, State and Society. We are to help serve the Counselors in the molding and in the preparation of the Cadets for their tasks in the various spheres of life by a study of the common problems of life through the acquisition of a deeper and broader knowledge of the Scriptures, and of the principles and applications of the Calvinist world and life view.
